Description:
Passauer Pfingst-Open-Air is a festival with a long tradition, taking place since 1980. The festival concept was modernized by Musikbegegnungen e.V. in 2001. Located in the south-east of Bavaria (Germany) and bordering Austria and Czech Republic the site is embedded in the beautiful scenery of the bavarian forest. The festival is well known and loved for its relaxed atmosphere and its big variations to keep the crowd alive: 21 bands on the mainstage perform almost any style while the culture stage offers a large variation of theatre, poetry slams, comedy, workshops and art. Additionally, the festival is strongly influenced by the special Bavarian culture (like having a crane for "beer case climbing" instead of "normal" bungee jumping and a "Frühschoppen" - a special breakfast with white sausages and beer - on Sunday morning). Of course, a band is playing traditional music to this. Welcome to where musical Bavaria meets the world - and vice versa!
