The Rockwave Festival journey begins in 1996.This was the first attempt in Greece to create an institution of an annual live music event to host contemporary pop and rock artists and bands.
The goal was achieved! Black Sabbath, Prodigy, Metallica, REM, Guns N' Roses, Sting, Manu Chao, Oasis, Robert Plant, Iron Maiden, Moby, Franz Ferdinand, Placebo, Sonic Youth, Nick Cave, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Portishead, The Offspring and many other prestigious artists have been hosted by Rockwave Festival all these years.
Since 2004, Rockwave Festival is taking place half an hour drive from the centre of Athens in the naturally preserved area, TerraVibe Park in Malakasa, offering a full festival experience. Beautiful green surrounding, camping, shops, bars, fun games, merch and memorabilia are all there!
Today, established but yet enthusiastic as ever, Rockwave is the most popular festival in the area of South East Europe, synonymous with the arrival of the summer season, a main attraction for Greek and international audiences.
This year, it celebrates its 14th anniversary and invites the best of the touring artists to play for 3 days on the 2 stages, Terra & Vibe, at TerraVibe Park. Enjoy the music, the passion, the sun, the excitement, the journey! Take your time and fly to Rockwave Festival!
This year it takes place on7th, 10th and 11th of July.
