Description:
The festival which is rooted in the struggle against Milosevic regime and is now an established national and international event, an important part of the cultural renewal happening in Serbia. The flavour of the festival is strongly alternative, with a clear identity of its own, an identity which isn't subordinate to the sponsors and one where alternative live music and club culture are given equal weight. In previous years, main international artists appearing were: The Prodigy, Korn, Madness, Moby, Snoop Dogg, Billy Idol, Manu Chao, Sex Pistols, Morrissey, Pet Shop Boys, HIM, The Cult, Robert Plant, The Cardigans, Franz Ferdinand, Jeff Mills, David Guetta, Carl Cox, Deep Dish,... and many more.
The EXIT Festival is organized by The EXIT Association - an organization which supports charities and under government supervision support humanitarian and cultural work. Apart from a full-time staff of 30 people, the whole event is organized by approx. 100 employees. When the event actually happens they are supplemented by more than 2,000 employees. A work force that does this job because they like it - and because they know that any profit from the festival will provide support where support is needed. Although amateurs - they are experienced and as good as any professional - and with the unique attitude and spirit that characterizes EXIT.
