Description:
Parkpop can be considered as the best attended popevent in The Netherlands and also the biggest in Europe. The festival programs different styles of popular music, varying from chart orientated rock to more progressive rock/pop, alternative and dance acts. Besides the concerts, the festival also has a large festival market and extensive catering facilities. Because of its tradition and because it is a free of charge festival in the center of one of the major Dutch cities, Parkpop has the most differentiated audience of all Dutch pop events. Besides the regular festival audience in the age of 15-30, many young families attend the festival with children and babies, whilst curious elderly couples can be seen as well. Alltogether, the atmosphere at the festival is in general very much at ease on a - in general-sunny Sunday.
