Description:
Italia Wave Love Festival moved in 2008 to the sea-town of Livorno after 20 years spent in Arezzo and one year in Florence. A new location but the same attitude: spreading love for music, youth culture and social values. Italia Wave has a 360 degrees program from International stars to upcoming Italian artists and thanks to "Italia Wave Network" the festival presents the best new talents from Italian young bands. Festival area has an easy access (free or cheap tickets) and so many different attractions from music to cinema, from comics to arts with many activities including workshops, sport and social areas and a lot of side projects like Elettrowave, an electronic music and culture event. Furthermore, in 2009 the organizer of Woodstock ’69 music festival, Michael Lang, choose our festival to celebrate the 40th anniversary and came to Italia Wave to meet our public; here he also presented his book “The Road to Woodstock” at the Cult Wave stage.
This year Italia Wave Love Festival opens with a full day dedicated to the urban cultures with the project Diversidad on the afternoon at the Psycho stage (an European music project about urban cultures) and MedWave, a special night of music wholly dedicated to the cultural differences, in association with SIAE, SACEM, Association Diversités, EMO et the European Commission.
Among the headliners: Underworld, Groove Armada, Faithless, Editors, OK Go, Julian Marley, Hindi Zara, Ojos de Brujos. Some shows have a free entrance, others a very cheap ticket.
