In August Göteborg explodes with hundreds of activities for all tastes and ages. The streets and squares are transformed into a unique festival atmosphere where you can revel in a rich medley of culture - in the word's broadest sense.
The festival area stretches through the centre of the city within walking distance of most things.
Everyone is invited and entrance is free.
With more than 700,000 visits and traditions from the start of the 1990s, Göteborgs kulturkalas is one of Sweden's biggest city festivals. Göteborgs kulturkalas is a partnership between the City of Göteborg's Cultural Affairs, Region Västra Götaland and Göteborg & Co, who are also organising the event.
